THE 4 Qs you need to
succeed in life:
Who doesn’t want to be successful? In this fast paced world
everyone wants to succeed in the quickest way possible. But not everyone wants
to pay the price. Success is an inside-out concept. What is on the inside of
you determines what you achieve on the outside. If you have it right inside,
you can be (and do) anything you want out there. You don’t need tons of money
to be successful at all. Here are 4 Qs that you need to succeed in life.
1) IQ
IQ stands for intelligence quotient. It is a number representing a
person’s reasoning ability. A test for rationality, IQ basically shows your
decision making capability on the basis of facts. To be successful, an average
or above average IQ is needed. Only a person with competent reasoning can make
a good leader.
2) EQ
EQ
stands for emotional quotient. One way to succeed in life is to understand your
emotions. Identify what you’re feeling. Instead of letting your emotions
control you, try to control your emotions. Take a look at the impact of your
emotions. Always aim for regulation rather than repression. You
can’t afford to be an emotional fool if you want to win in any situation. Learn
to handle criticism. Develop potential of ignoring. Learn how to say NO. Accept
rejection with utmost level of grace and dignity.
3) PQ
Here
PQ stands for 3 things: Persistence Quotient, Perseverance Quotient, and
Patience Quotient
Do you hang in there and face life’s obstacles, or do you all too
quickly throw in the towel? The power to persist comes from within.
It can’t be passed on to us by our parents nor can we buy it from the market.
Strive for continuous improvement and never give up on your goals. Never quit.
Things will get better. It’s always darkest before the dawn.
JR Miller said, “It is not enough to begin; continuance is
necessary….Success depends upon staying power. The reason for failure in most
cases is lack of perseverance.” Perseverance helps you make progress even when
things get tough. You’ll hit several bumps on the road to achieve your goals,
but if you persevere, you’ll make progress. It’ll payoff in the long run.
Patience is important. If you’re losing patience, you are losing
the battle. First nothing happens, then it happens slowly and suddenly all at
once. Most people give up at stage one. Patience helps you to develop a healthy
attitude. It allows you to persevere and make more productive decisions, often
leading to greater success.
4) SQ
SQ stands for spirituality quotient. It means
connection with ‘yourself’ and connection with the world. Take out some ‘me’
time. Go out for a walk in nature and don’t put on your earphones. Talk to
yourself every once in a while. Get to know yourself. Understand that this
world is a continuum and you’re playing your part like everyone else is.
